ANAMBRA LANDS COMMISSIONER, PROF AMUCHEAZI RE-STATES GOVERNOR SOLUDO’S COMMITMENT TO HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT

ANAMBRA LANDS COMMISSIONER, PROF AMUCHEAZI RE-STATES GOVERNOR SOLUDO'S COMMITMENT TO HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT

The Commissioner for Lands in Anambra State, Prof. Offornze Amucheazi (SAN) has re-stated the commitment of the Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, to human capital development in State.

Prof Amucheazi who was the leader paper presenter at the event explained that the government of Governor Soludo has since inception initiated and implemented several policies and programmes aimed at nurturing and improving the education, skills as well as health of the people of the State which are key indices of human capital development.

According to the Commissioner, Governor Soludo has declared tuition-free education and free ante-natal services for pregnant women , the apprenticeship /Igba boi system, the akuluo-uno message as well as the one youth two skills programme of the state government including improved security architecture for the overall benefits of the people of the state as his testament and commitment to human capital development.

He noted that human capital development which is at the heart of Soludo’s administration’s vision for a liveable and prosperous homeland cannot be actualized by the state government alone as town unions, private and community-based organizations have critical roles to play.

Prof Amucheazi particularly called on town unions and community leaders to sensitize the youths on the evils of land racketeering, which discourages investors and stagnate development, leading to high rate of youth unemployment in the society.
